Rally for the Valley will use approximately 15–20 volunteer captains so volunteers have a clear point of contact. Captains may lead functional teams or geographic zones and communicate with Event Operations.

Thank you for choosing our highest-priority staffing window. Event Shift 2 is expected to coincide with peak attendance and the greatest needs for guest services, beverage operations, pedestrian support, waste/recycling, donations and rapid-response volunteers.

Volunteer positions supplement — but do not replace — professional security, law enforcement/official traffic control, EMS/medical response, stage/AV production crews, licensed alcohol-service personnel where required, or other professional event contractors. Volunteers must follow the direction of authorized event and public-safety personnel.

I understand that my participation as a volunteer for Rally for the Valley is voluntary and may involve standing, walking, lifting, carrying materials, working near crowds and vehicles, working outdoors, setting up or dismantling event equipment, handling waste, assisting with event operations, and other activities associated with a large outdoor public event.

I understand that participation may involve risks of injury, illness, property damage, or other loss. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I knowingly and voluntarily assume the ordinary risks associated with my volunteer participation.

In consideration for being permitted to volunteer, I agree, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, to release and hold harmless Rally for the Valley, its organizers, fiscal or nonprofit partners, sponsors, participating organizations, property owners, municipalities, officers, employees, agents, contractors, and volunteers from claims arising from my volunteer participation, except to the extent such claims cannot legally be waived or released.

I agree to follow event policies, safety procedures, and instructions from authorized event personnel. I understand that event organizers may remove me from a volunteer assignment if my conduct creates a safety concern or materially interferes with event operations.

If emergency medical attention is reasonably necessary and I am unable to provide consent, I authorize event personnel to contact emergency medical services on my behalf. I understand that I remain responsible for any medical costs incurred.

I understand that photographs and video may be taken during this public event. I authorize Rally for the Valley and its participating nonprofit/event partners to use photographs or video in which I may appear for event documentation, publicity, fundraising, and promotional purposes without compensation.

For volunteers under 18, a parent or legal guardian may be required to complete a separate consent and waiver.

You are expressing interest only. If you later accept a shift, you will be required to review and agree to the Volunteer Waiver & Release of Liability before volunteering.
